Scorpion parts

I've been messing around with my camera and I got a few good pictures. They are just parts of a scorpion (C. exilicuada; Arizona Bark).

Those are really good pics. Your camera has a nice macro setting.

Yes the Arizona Bark Scorpion is the most venomous scorpion in the US and can cause quite a bit of pain but generally a sting isn't fatal. Interestingly enough he's fairly docile. I've never seen him in a threat position. I wouldn't handle him though...he's a bit nervous at times and he could run off my hand easily.

Yes it is.

I think this is the 4th time I've changed it's gender. First it was female, then it was identified as a male, then reidentified as a female, then re-reidentified as a male, and now someone is telling me it's a female again. Hopefully they're right this time.
