I've heard of and seen a spiny tailed iguana, but I don't know the correct name for it.

Spiny iguana

I had a club-tailed iguana for a while - sounds a bit like what you described. I know there is not alot of info out there for them - I looked when I got mine. He was very agressive, ate crickets, needed pretty much the same conditions as a green iguana but not as much humidity. I got him as a 1 year old, about 7-8" SVL. I feel horrible but I ended up trading him because I could not handle him at all. He was the devil reincarnate... maybe it was because he wasnt handled enough as a baby, but I was not the person to tame him. He hated everything about me... and I was so nice to him too... I got a green ig out of the deal though and he is the best in the world!

This is a pretty beginner website, asking for anything besides iguana iguana here won't yield much fruit. You can try asking over at Herp Center, many more experienced herpers.

All I am able to offer is go look at Cyclura.com(link), but I don't know if they have info. Or run a search for "Uracentron flaviceps care".
