What is the most venomous snake in the world?

Ive been seeing all kinds of different programs that say what the most venomous snake in the world is. I always thought it was the inland Taipan but today I saw a show that said it was number 3. Ive seen another show that says the Boomslang is the most venomous. Can someone please tell me wich one it is?

I found the site to answer my questions. Its the Fierce snake also known as the inland taipan. The only sea snake on the list is the Beaked Sea Snake and its number 6. Thanks for everyones help.

Fierce snake=Inland Taipain=King Brown

All the same, I do believe, and the most venomous snake in the world.

While studies are of LD-50s, but...

if you got some gland fulls of certain snakes like some cobras and like the King Cobra, I don't think it would matter what the most venomous snake is ? It also seems the most venomous snake has changed to what specie in the last 20 years. I think I recall at one time the Boomslang was up there with one of the specie of Sea Snake. The venom Doc is most knowledgeable on this subject.

I thought it was the austrailian King Brown Snake.

the king brown is a different snake, much bigger than the taipan and has a lot more spunk.
